Programmer

Yet another redesign however this time it's because I lost the key to my cad software, it was on Quickroutes server when they went belly up, OUCH! I had to reverse engineer it from the software.

Pic Programmer

Features:

  • In Circuit Serial Programmer (ICSP)
  • Programs most of the popular 16Fxxx range of micro-controllers
  • Uses the serial port on your PC
  • Comes with free software for your PC
ZiBOTs programmer is capable of programming several of the PIC16Fxxx range of processors. It uses a PIC16F628 to processes the commands and files on the serial port and convert them to the necessary signals for programming the target PIC.

It uses a MAX232 chip to convert the TTL signal from/to the PIC16F628 to RS232 standard.

Software is available to download free of charge for your PC and works on Win98 - XP. Version 1.02 now supports Win Vista. It works with USB serial port converters (Tested on XP and Vista only).

The software comes with an integrated help system.

Kills two birds with one stone works as a label for the programmer and a template for the holes.

The ICSP Software for PC

ZiBOTs programmer supports many of the popular PIC16Fxxx range of micro-controllers.

You will need a serial port on your PC in order to use this programmer.

The programmer is running at 115200 baud and is amazingly fast even thought it's on the serial port.

It uses a MAX232 chip for level conversion to RS232 with hardware handshaking and is very reliable.

Using a special cable and another PIC16F628 micro-controller the firmware can easily be upgraded to newer versions.

The software's Memory Display window where the micro-controllers configuration can be setup/viewed manually or from a file.
